From the Principal – 12 November 2025

Dear parents and friends,

In combination with a very busy learning and assessment programme we have held a number of community events in the past few weeks which have been very successful in showcasing the exceptional work of our teachers and students. Our students’ varied contributions to these are a credit to them, their pride in the College and the support you provide them to succeed.

Recently 150 grandparents and grand friends gathered at the College at the invitation of Year 7 to meet their teachers, view our facilities and share morning tea with us. It was a wonderful to have so many grandparents and friends join us. Their interest in the College, our learning programmes and opportunities their grandchildren are provided was heartening.

Last week we held our St Francis Xavier Feast Day Mass followed by a day of activities, both of which expressed all that is central to our liturgical and community life at the College. I am very grateful to Fr John Woods our Chaplain, who celebrated Mass and delivered such a powerful and accessible Homily. I was also particularly proud of our students who participated with such dignity and reverence in the Mass and with such a genuine sense of fun and desire for the celebratory activities to succeed on Friday.

Each year one student from each year group is nominated by their Year Coordinators for the highly anticipated Endeavour Award, announced at our St Francis Xavier Day Mass, the criterion of which are based on community leadership and contribution to the College. I am very pleased to announce that the following students are the 2025 recipients of our Endeavour Award.

Year 7 - Liam Gibson

Year 8 - Jett Sureda

Year 9 - Max Morrison

Year 10 - Clare Bakonji

Year 11 - Brianna Grounds

Year 12 - Brodie Schorsch

I continue to be very pleased to see the level of commitment and engagement of our students who continue to be hard at work preparing for their examinations and the finalisation of their classwork and assessment. My staff are deeply committed to the learning progress and success of your boys and girls so please don’t hesitate to make contact with them if you or your children need our assistance.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely
