House Systems and Charities
House System
Our community is split into five Houses whereby each student and staff member belong to one of the Houses.

House activities include celebrations, competitions, Community Day/Swimming Carnival and Athletics carnival. The House activities create a sense of belonging, community and create strong bonds across Year groups. The House Points system rewards students for positive contributions to the daily life of the College. The House Spirit Cup is awarded annually to the House displaying positive community spirit across a range of areas.
Volunteering
All students are encouraged to participate in community service throughout their time at St Francis Xavier College. Students have the opportunity to engage in whole-school fundraising events, in support of our five house charities.

In Year 9, service learning is an integral part of the Pastoral Care program. Year 9 students participate in a formal volunteering program with their Pastoral Teachers, and assist organisations such as Pegasus Riding Schools, St Vincent de Paul, Lifeline, local primary schools and others.
Senior students may engage in volunteering and community outreach and gain recognition towards the award of a registered unit in Community Service.
